PJ's summer 2010 Top Ten Photos

My apologies for the delay in posting these photos. Time always seems to get away from me once the semester starts.

This was a tough year for summer flowers. We followed our record breaking spring heat with record breaking summer heat. That makes sense since I certainly can't remember a summer with so many days in the 90's. And even when it cooled off it only went down to 89! The flowers continued to run about three weeks ahead of the normal schedule and everything looked quite sad by August.

I am pleased to say however that these flower photos were taken on my roof, where my garden held out fairly well thanks to the watering system.

Easter Lily

Rose

These next two photos were taken on the Upper West Side. The juxtaposition of the working men and women amused me...

But not half as much as seeing the final ad with the ladies in the New York Times Magazine section did a few weeks later.

For a few weeks there was a special exhibition of mannequins in the Garment district, so i went down to see if I could get a few good shots. It was a bit difficult because you had to time the light just right, but I was happy with the way these two turned out.

Last, but not least, I visited Times Square to see if I could get a few new photos to work with. These are two of my favs.

Enjoy!
